With reference to the law of agency: Distinguish between a “special agent” and a “general agent”

Special Agent: this is an agent whose authority is restricted to the performance of a particular act not being in the ordinary course of his business, trade or profession while general agent is an agent engaged to perform a particular act not being in the ordinary course of his business, trade or profession as an agent.
