Ways in which a copyright might be infringed

Outline two ways in which a copyright might be infringed

 Infringement of copyright

  • Piracy; Refers to unauthorized copying, distribution and selling of work or works in copyright.
  • Photocopying; Occurs when someone other than the copyright holder copies the “expression” of a worker meaning the idea or information behind the work is not protected.
  • Plagiarism; It is defined as taking the original work of another and presenting it as yours. Anything that is seen as an unethical and unattributable use of another’s original creation.
  • Copying of song/music
